Have got a 30 inch Apple Cinema Display hooked up to my 15 inch MBP (both about 7 weeks old).

I work in both OSX and XP under boot camp.

Over the last 2 days, the ACD has started to make a feint but repetitive throbbing noise. Almost like a very distant beeping noise.... similar to the noise lorries make when they reverse but really very feint.

The noise level is low but its ongoin wah-wah-wah-wah-wah is increasingly annoying.

Anyone have any idea what it might be and how to fix it?

Thanks

Is it very high-pitched? Does it fade in or out, or does it cut in and out? Either way it seems like non-terminal but warrantiable problems I've had on some Dell monitors. Never come across it on an ACD before. It seems like an obvious thing to say but you should call Applecare.

Thanks, Sesshi. Not high pitched but continuous as a wah, wah, wah, wah noise .... maybe 80 or 90 wahs a minute.

I'll have to get AppleCare on to it. Was hoping someone might know a swift fix.

Thanks
