I am trying to get my 30 inch ACD to work with my newly acquired MBP 2018, 13” 4 Thunderbolt ports model. I have a genuine Apple MDP-DL-DVI adapter which I know works as have used it to date with my 2012 rMBP. I first got a USB-C to MDP adapter to daisy chain but that didn’t work. I now have a Dell WD15 dock which has native MDP out. Using that with a MDP to DP cable runs my cell monitors fine, so I know the dock works.

Now here is where it gets odd, if I only connect the ACD via the genuine MDP-DVI adapter and the WD15, I get an output on the ACD for about 5 seconds then it goes black. It is still recognised by my MacBook in display settings but showing nothing.
Anyone heard of something like this before and any idea how I rectify?

Works with no issues. Just takes 5 seconds to 'wake up' from a black screen. Without your suggestion I would probably not have found this, thanks!
