30 inch Dell monitor and a mac pro....

Costco has a 30 inch Dell monitor (3007WFP-HC) for $999. Does anyone have this and what's their opinions on it. I have an early '08 Mac Pro and want a bigger display. I'd love to have the 30 inch Apple monitor, but I'd also love to save $800!!

(also, I'm guessing that this monitor will be compatible with my Mac Pro. It states that it "requires a DVI-D dual-link graphic card that supports WQXGA (2560x1600) resolution". Any comments on compatibility or other monitor suggestions?

The Dell 3007WFP-HC works fine with Mac Pros. I've been using this very setup for quite some time. As far as I know, any of the video cards that shipped with the Mac Pros will work fine.

Don't worry, the stock '08 Mac Pro has two dual-link dvi connections. (Assuming stock video card was ATI 2600 HD Pro)

That's a great deal, there is no reason why the Mac Pro can't handle it.

It's an excellent monitor. Just be warned that it only has 1 input and it's a dual-link DVI-D; this monitor does not have any post processing which is why there are no analog inputs.
