iBook G3 keyboard on iBook G4?

i have a 14" ibook g4 and used a 14" g3 keyboard and it works fine the cable is a slightly diffent length but doesnt in anyway stop it from fitting fine and working,

clamshell ibook keyboards have a different connector so dont use them

also dont use a 12" one on a 14" as the cable wont reach i think

you'll be fine with a 12" g3 on a 12" g4 and 14"g3 on 14"g4. hope this helps!

Will the opposite work? G4 keyboard on an iBook G3 (12", 900MHz)? I saw this thread, and then I saw this on Flickr... so I'm wondering if even I can make this swap work. Would any 'ol G4 keyboard fit my aforementioned G3? Anyone try this or want to trade keyboards?
