mbp and youtube

I have a powerbook 12" and youtube really taxes the machine. Processor goes up to 100% just playing a youtube video. What % does a mbp use up for a youtube video on average? Thanks.

i played the 'worms playing music II' video on youtube ans checked my processor usage with istatpro widget and it was between 9 to 15% on MBPro 2.16 with 1gb ram.

I have a MacBook (not Pro) but it should be about the same. I get about 25-35% CPU usage with Firefox... My fan speed skyrockets though.

i played only 1 movie but my fan speed didn't rise at all, stayed stable @ 2000, i was using safari though.

that, my friend, is an understatement. flash apps often run up almost all of one core of my mbp's processor and that just ain't right.
