30inch LED Display - Any idea on price?

Hey folks,

I'm thinking of buying an external display for my Alu MacBook. I was going to get the 24inch LED, but I'm wondering whether Apple will soon release a 30in LED-backlit display? Is that likely? If so, could anyone hazard a guess as to the likely price (sterling?). I'd imagine it'd be in the £1000 price bracket, but given recent price hikes, would I be more realistically looking at something like £1200?

Also, does the miniDisplay port drive the full display resolution of a 30inch with a straightforward displayport cable?

The 30" LED Cinema Display should be the same price as the current Cinema Display.

Apple didn't raise the price of the 24" when they killed the 23".

Very flawed logic.

30" LED panels are significantly more expensive to produce right now than standard 30" panels. 24" panels are only marginally more expensive, and the price reflects that.

Be happy if it's $1,999 and don't be suprised if it is up to $2,499.

God knows what that translates to in the UK now, maybe £1,500.
