iPhone sold at 12:01 at 5th ave store?

Not a bad idea but I would think they would wait till 8 or 9 to start selling in the AM.

One way to find out is see if they had the MacBook Pros out this morning at 12AM or did they wait until the regular morning time.
 
Grrrr, why can't I be in NYC... well I will be in a week. That is totally the Apple store i want to work at. Anyway, it would make sense that they did, as it would be the release day, but it wouldn't be much of a release, midnight... Apple store... there'd be a whole bunch of fans who bought them, but the normal consumers would be left high and dry in the morn.

Meeee! I live closer to the Times Square AT&T store, and I think that the 5th Ave. store is going to be crazzzy busy. But if I have people to hang with, I'm down. The only thing is that I have visitors on the 28th. I may have to lie and tell them I'm working that Friday :)D tee-hee). I'm a sinner for an iPhone!!
 
Hm, if Apple were doing something special, or they confirmed a midnight launch, I might take the train in to the city. I know it'd be a lot more interesting to update my blog and document everything from the 5th ave store than it would be from my local AT&T store, lol.

Is anybody going into the curtained area, are they leaving it alone, are there people guarding it?

Am I missing something? I don't see a curtain in those pics? And for the love of god eat something man.

I couldn't get the macbook pro toward the genius desk and all of the imacs with the cameras pointing toward the curtain (behind me) were all taken. I do eat (just not a lot, I get full extremely fast) and I'm very tall.

The curtained area took up a whole wall section in the genius bar/ipod bar section, the curtain looked sturdy. I didn't think of looking under it, I don't think I would be able. There were a bunch of plain clothed men (black polo and jeans) around it showing little interest in watching the curtain, but they all had walkie talkies so I'm sure they were part of security.

Edit: and I just realized this isn't the black curtain thread. :p I was rushing in the store for no reason.
