Here's the deal. Had a 16 gig touch, gf snagged it to display images from her jewelry/custom jewelry design business. It's proven to be fairly effective as a mobile sales tool for her. Pretty cool how she can zoom in on images with it to show detail.

I'm now without an ipod for the first time in 4 years, and i'm having withdrawls..(cold, so cold...) Anyway, I can either get a used 8 gig for 200 usd and swap with her (since she's just showing images with it), or get a new in box 32gig one for 435 usd.

I'm seeking a consensus on which one to get, and the rationale behind it. Thanks.

i would buy her the 8gig and get your 16 back. The 16gb worked for you before she stole it. Unless you just want a 32gb version.

Truthfully, I'm not really sure. He was able to get me a new in box white imac at the beginning of this month for 100 usd cheaper than the apple refurb site. Come to think of it, I'm going to call him real quick before I give out his email address or phone number.

I don't think he's stealing them off a truck or anything.

Given the SDK release and APP potential, I'd recommend the 32gb model. If you can wait until June, there are strong rumors that there will be a new iPhone with 3G and possibly a second camera facing front for video conferencing. I know you're after a Touch, but a new iPhone might lead to a new variation of the Touch too, in which case you'll wish you had the new one instead of the 32gb current one. What could they add to a Touch to improve it? A camera small chance, and Bluetooth better chance.

Noooo, he is just a legitimate Apple Certified Reseller and wants to just be a nice guy!

I say go for the 16 now if it will fit your needs for the next year + Then upgrade (from the nice guy:D) next year to the next best thing.
