Damn not too long ago i bought the Hitachi 200GB 7200 RPM HD for my MacBook, love it! Makes this thing boot in half the time it did before! Fantastic Hard Drives!

Haha, I recently did the same actually. Love it, but I wouldn't recommend resting your MacBook on your lap if you have one though!

Still, it's been reliable, and the 320GB version actually looks to be about the same price I paid for 200GB a while ago.

Yeah, this sounds like it would run way too hot. Anyone having trouble on that front?

well, with my 200. I can honestly say it can get uncomfortably warm - sweaty legs, that's about it. No shut-downs as a result of overheating. So real problems don't exist for me.

I'd agree with that. It can get VERY hot, but performance-wise it's been a dream. I use my MacBook as both a desktop and laptop though, so it's not an issue most of the time. If you're going to have it sat on your legs for long periods of time you may want to think twice.
