I just ordered a 13" MBP to replace my desktop pc.

How does the 320M compare to my old Geforce 8800GTS? I tried to find specs for Apple's 320M, but I'm not sure whether it's basically a GT216 (spec-wise) or not.

Chances are I'm actually getting a better video chip than I had before ;)

I don't think Apple has ever shipped a laptop that was even in the same ballpark as the desktop 8800. The 330M might be nearly comparable to a desktop 8500 or so. I am pretty sure it's noticably weaker than a desktop 8600.

..

Comparing the 8800GTS with a 320M is like comparing the fighting capabilities of a Tiger (8800) to a Duck(320M) :l.

Ok maybe not quite that different but you get the picture.

After I went through the information available on 320M again, I can see that it has to be weaker, probably a lot.

Doesn't matter, I can't even remember the last time I actually used the 8800GTS for gaming. I just want to get rid of that bulky desktop.

Thanks anyway!
