I've searched for a while and no luck, so I apologize if this has already been covered. I found similar problems, but not my exact one.

Here's what's going on. Originally, my 3GS froze randomly when I plugged it into my Dell(running XP). I thought maybe it was just a random occurence, so I thought nothing of it until I plugged it into my Macbook, and it is freezes as well. The only way to charge it without freezing, is to use the wall adapter. When it freezes, first it makes the same alert as when you plug it in, and every few seconds, it vibrates twice. While it's going this, it will have the constantantly moving circle of dots, until I restart. Apple sent a replacement device, BUT, it's doing the same thing. I've restored, set up as a new phone, and still no luck :( any idea what's going on?
