I am considering selling my 16GB iPod Touch if Apple offered a 32GB model for $300, because looking at eBay, I believe I can get somewhere in the ballpark of $200 for mine. And $100 to double your memory seems like a good deal to me. So I was wondering what people with knowledge of flash prices think about this. Could we see 32GB for $300? Or are we looking at $400?

I have to think there is going to be some sort of price adjustment-even with AT&T's LONG AND EXPENSIVE contract, an iPhone for $199 is a great deal.

And when they came out with the first iPhone 16 GB-they priced the 32 GB touch to match-so if Apple did that again, you are looking at $299.

I really hope they drop the price to $299 as I'm wanting a 32GB Touch for Christmas. $299 is the same price I paid for my 30GB iPod Video in March 2006.

And yes it would make sense that they would release a 64GB version and sell it for the same price as the current 32GB but I am unsure of the prices of flash memory at current.

...
8gb = $300
16gb = $400
32gb = $500

The best they would do is get rid of the 8gb all together and lower the prices of the 16gb and 32gb by $50. What makes you think they'll lower the price by $200, nearly half, when people are buying? Wait for the Touch to be out for a few years and when they redesign the product all together check out a FYE for a $100 mail-in discount and a $25 store credit.
