Hey guys!

Not sure if its been tried or not. But I am the proud owner of a 2012 15" MacBook Pro that features the 2.7Ghz intel i7 3820QM, 16Gb of ram, HR AG screen an a 1Tb Samsung SSD. Ive heard from multiple sources the new MacBook Pro wasn't very "pro like" and after searching online a bit I found this link... well someone else did.. haha

I was wondering. Will this machine take 32Gb? Im sure the CPU itself can handle it, but can the board? Has anyone tried this? Thoughts?

Thanks

Nope. Although the CPU can support up to 32GB, the CPU doesn't support more than 8GB per DIMM. So the only 32GB RAM laptops you'll see with that processor also have 4 RAM slots.

This question pops up here at least once per week ;) No,this won't work.
