Quoting from [kinks]:
Quoting from [porthole]:
It is becoming apparent there are a lot of good people getting ripped off by Mr Damian Jarreau, of New Roads, Louisiana.
His companies, or the ficticious or scam ones he deals under include Damsam LLC, Xuanda Global LLC, Oakland Stores, Atlantic Digital Stores, and goodness knows how many others. He tries to steal identities, gets people to process transactions for him, and leaving them the financial mess to clean up, and getting people to all sorts of work for him, all of which is fraudulent.
The FBI are tracking him, but the more imput we give them, the better. Don't be shy here...if you have been conned/scammed/ripped off by Damian Jarreau, post it here.
There is another site that "Mr. Jarreau" is now a part of.
www.atlanticinc-stores.com.
I attempted to order an ipod touch for $150 and received a number of emails after inquiring about the order. The site shows the Yahoo! e-commerce logo, and after placing the order, a Yahoo confirmation number appeared. I tried to contact the company by phone. The name on the phone is Chris Packett, but every time I tried to call, a voice system kept disconnecting me . I then emailed her and received 3 separate emails trying to get me to send them money via a money gram because their credit card system was down. I did additional research, and did reverse lookups for the phone number as well as the address where the business is supposed to be located. The company is not listed anywhere. In fact, there is a plumbing supply company at the address shown on their web site.
Chris Packett sent one email saying that she talked to her boss and they agreed to let me send them a deposit for the ipod and pay the balance when I received the item. Again, I refused. Today, I received an order confirmation telling me that the credit card system is down and to send money via Western Union to Damian Charles Jarreau in Baton Rouge, LA. I did additional research and the address on the email does not exist. If this isn't a scam, I don't know what is. I googled Damian Jarreau, and ended up on this web site. Thanks to those of you that also posted.
I emailed yahoo! e-Commerce to investigate, but not sure if they can do anything.
The email for Chris Packett is on the web site as well.

I hope this helps others from being scammed.
