Any simple Paint programs?

Does Mac OSX come with any simple Paint style programs like MS Paint? If not, can I download something similar for free anywhere?

Also, what (free) alternatives are there to Photoshop on Mac? Is GIMP it or am I wrong?

It works very well. It has more features than Paint.
