34" MSI Prestige?

I’m going to resurrect this thread and ask the same question. I’ve read that the LG 34” 5k2k had some wake-up issues with Macs so am curious if anyone has the 34” MSI Prestige 5k2k? It also looks to be a little less expensive than the LG.
Had multiple MSI Prestiges and the image retention / ghosting is a nightmare. It always got hot and so the retention got worse. Even though it is the same panel, I recommend the LG. Didn’t have any retention with that. But the monitor needs to be turned off when you want to sleep. The Mac keeps waking it up. And sometimes I need to disconnect and connect the Thunderbolt cable as it doesn’t wake up anymore. Happens twice a month.

@DennisdeWit thanks for the feedback. Definitely looking harder at the LG. It’s on sale for about $1050 and is really the only other 34” 5k2k. I can probably deal with occasional sleep/wake issues, especially since I’ll be switching back and forth with my work windows laptop.
