End of line hotkey?

Hey,

Just got my new 20" iMac a few days ago. What's annoying me is when I press my "END" key, it doesn't go to the end of the line in anything (code editor, browser url bar, mail, NOTHING). What's the hotkey on a Mac to go to the physical end of a line?

Oh, and the same for the "HOME" key too. Any ideas?

try [command] + arrow key. so [command] + [left arrow key] would take you to the beginning of a line.
