In a real life argument I don't get over-excited and loud. It's a very calm argument. It drives everyone crazy :D

Aren't those more like pet peeves?

I would classify pet peeves as things other people do that annoy but we don't have any control over and quirks as things you do have control over either out of habit or choice that is unusual. Like my wife made a wonderful salad the other day, but we were out of croutons, so I refused to eat it.

that's funny. i can't eat croutons because years ago i had a silverfish infestation. made a wonderful caesar's salad and poured some on the top. Went to take a bite and the fork was literally crawling with the little buggers.:eek::eek:

To the OP, it should be "Quirks???? What're yours???". "Quirks" is plural.

- I don't like cheese or any topping on pizza
- I don't like soda, only milk and water

Shouldn't your name be OCD rather than Mord???

Or something like OHO. Its line of symmetry would be after the Ol- :)

I also won't eat salad without croutons, but that's mainly because I don't really like the taste of salad and I don't like dressings.

I always make sure the keyboard, mouse, and mouse pad are in line with each other before I leave the desk.

And sometimes, if I touch something with one finger, I have to touch it with my other finger. But I've been getting better at that. OCD. :D

i'm the exact opposite, everything in my world, including me, is somewhat askew. Probably why i quit architecture 23 freaking years ago!!!

Ah, and I also mimic playing the keyboard with my fingers by my side when I'm out walking (not over the top air-guitar like). Only with the hand that has the largest space facing it. Say I'm on the left side on the road i'll use my right hand.
It's only recently and it's actually helped me get better at learning songs by ear.

If something can be symmetrical I will make it so.

haha, oh how I know this feeling so well! I get rather teased about it at work. I do quality control at a plywood mill and everyday I usually help out the forklift driver on his breaks. Well, when we have to stack loads of wood and put 3 2x4s.... I have to have them perfectly even spaced apart. Sometimes co-workers intentionally walk buy and move them a inch or two to tease me and I go back and move it back :p OCD is probably the proper term for this "quirk"

The volume on my radio in my car must be an even number...

While dining out to eat, if I'm in a group, I must order last...

My cellphone must be in my left pocket, no matter what...

and that's just a few. lol

The only quirks I have are small grooves, returns or indentations in architectural mouldings or furniture components, generally used to mask or conceal abutments between different elements or to avoid visible cracking due to differential movement. Other than that, I'm perfectly normal.
