iPod touch UK Order Shipped today

Hi folks, just thought i'd share that my UK Order has shipped today from the UK Apple Store.

Its a week 38 engraved and i ordered it at: Sep 5, 2007 at 12:43 PM PDT

Its being sent VIA TNT (which for me isnt ideal, there a pain here in South Wales).

TNT tracking says it left Suzhou at 9.54 this morning, usually in the past it takes 2-3 days to be here, may get here tomoz or Thursday.

YEY about time :apple:

Nice! mine still says Prepared for Shipment, but they must surely all be going out in the same batch...?

I guess they have a lot of ipods to scan ;)

grrrrrrrr your very lucky!

I do think Apple might be doing quite well with UK orders tbh, it seems like they will get most out by 28th.
I feel sad for checking mine everyday now :(

Well annoyed about mine. :mad:
They've been selling them in KRCS in Leeds (UK) but now sold out.

I order mine on 7th Sept with Shipping on 28th arrive 1st-2nd Oct. Theyhave just put my estimated delivery date back another 2 two days to 4/5th October.

It would seem mail orders have ben screwed over yet again.!!!
 
Mate the Touch's release date is Oct 1st correct?
And your shipping date is probably Sept 28th correct?
If so, they are doing it all perfectly correct for you, you will get it around release day if not before and no you havnt missed out getting them in the shops because go check major high street electronic stores, release date Oct 1st.
Apple had a few promotional ones in store, thats all.

iPod Touch Delivery..

Hi,

My order for the 16gb iPod Touch is at the "Prepared for shipment" status.

I expect it will be shipped either this evening or tomorrow.

Can't wait to get my hands (or fingers) on it!!

Same, when did yours change?
mine change today
hopefully it will change to shipped tonight or tomorrow but something tells me it wont.:(
 
I ordered mine on thr 5th soon after the store came back online, it is marked as prepared for shippment, and I keep eargerly checking the status, but is there much point in me checking it at this time? I mean is it only likely to change between 9am-5pm? or Chinas 9am - 5pm, which in BST is 1am-9am
 
Hmm i'm not sure
i checked my status this morning and it was 'not yet shipped' (8.00AM)
come back at around (4.00PM) and it says prepared for shipment.

errm, yes and no. It might be the release date proper but they are out there in the wild and been sold.. I had one in my hand last friday, if i hadn't of been going to the pub I would have bought it and canceeled my apple order. They have been spotted at various apple store and resellers around the country.

I know, I do look at these forums, but as far as the date published on the website the release date is more or less shown as 28th. Majority of people will get it after this date.
 
zzz yes 28th then, but by delivery it takes 3-5 working days, so just because we order online and sit on our bums doesnt mean we should get it on release day! They send them early though to be nice, but they are released for us by then, then because we dont wanna go to the shops we have to wait a couple of days, in theory.
As for the shop ones that people have bought, they are very limited in numbers, hardly a big release if you ask me so I would say its more of a promotional thing to get people talking. If they had been already released then we would have no problems picking one up in Comet right now, cos apple would send loads. They will do this on the 28th...
