iPhone store fittings at O2

Picked up my copy of Zelda on DS today in Brighton and noticed a huge advert for iphone in O2 next door.

Anyway got this image on the way in:

Got an odd look from the staff, saw this unit (say 3m by 1m) at the back of the store:

Err they start to come upto me so i get one more shot off:

and with that i left, but on leaving i noticed the guy (builder/shop fitter) from shot 1 had moved the poster forward, take a look at what i got from behind before leaving:

The wooden base looks a bit nice and chunky to be an unfinished floor panel so wonder how they will be displayed? Anyway thought i would post...so i have. :D

Can't wait to go play...anyone know if they will be any on show to play with before the 9th or is that wishful thinking. I know what apple is like not letting anything out until release date but i can only play with the iPod touch so much before i wana play with the real thing
 
Great pics Roseyboy. When I have been coming from work I sometimes pass our local O2 shop and I keep looking in to see if they have any iPhone posters up but nothing yet:(

Supposedly the ad campaign starts 2 weeks before launch so only 1 week until we see iPhone on the TV probably and in O2 stores and at bus stops probably.

The hype will soon be increasing some more. Roll on Nov 9.

Ya sorry about number 2 being blurry i was pushing past a person in the store as a shop assistant was heading my way. as you can see from the blurry side it was wrapped up like a present, with no hope of me being able to knock it off like a table cloth for a better pic.

Also tried to snap the new Apple store but thats been plastered up outside and every hole blocked with gummy filler to stop nosy people like me trying to peep :cool:
 
My local 02 has the iphone fitting now... It was behind the iphone the wait is almost over cover and there was a gap and i could see some of that wood on your photos.. (hempstead valley store)

I was in the apple store in Glasgow today and one of the staff comes up to me so I start chatting away.
any news about the iphone I asked him?
yes he said it's out on Nov 9th!!!!!!!!!!

works even when dashboard is on!
take a pic of any area of your screen then i upload to photobucket takes seconds

you can also use that shortcut and press the spacebar after the crosshair appears to take a snap of the active, or any other window...

This does not help settle the anticipation at all.

With Leopard this week and the iPhone shortly after - I might just do the double whammy - new black Macbook and iPhone bought together.

Ah.. my credit card feels hot...
 
just done a bit of accounting myself.
Leopard is ordered, moneys there for the phone, tax disk is due and oh yes 3 kids hoping for loads of stuff from santa!!!!!!!
