Hi all,

I have the 38mm Series 3 Watch and ordered the Series 6 40mm. While I don't have any accessories that I'll be using with it, I'm wondering how the size is. Typically, I would think 2mm is pretty small so it won't be noticeable, but is it? Anyone do a transition from 38mm to 40mm and notice any differences? I could have went with the 44mm, but I'm not on my watch that much to need it. Its mainly quick messages, watch workout metrics, heart rate, weather, maybe an email message, etc. I don't know if the size really makes all that much difference. However, I could be wrong. My wrists are pretty small. On the Series 3, I'm using the smaller band and up 3 holes on it.

Anyways, what is anyone else' experience? Was it just okay cool. Or was it, wow this is quite different?

Only just seen this question...I have the 38mm Series 3 and went to the 40mm Series 6, honestly it is such a small difference you will barely notice. I use third hole from the end on smaller strap for both the 38 and 40mm, small wrists also. You will enjoy the larger text on 40mm, it is a noticeable difference.

There is some additional weight with the 40mm but it isn't huge. Benefit of slightly slimmer profile with more rounded corners does seem to shrink the size a bit compared to 38mm.

I will post images of 38 and 40mm side by side later, been meaning to for a while now :) - I did post some images of my Series 6 40mm which might be of interest https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/show-off-your-apple-watch.1872015/post-29113104

Here you go, tried to align them best I can, 40mm on the left and 38mm right. You can see the text size difference, second and fourth image show the difference in height quite well, it is minimal but noticeable.
