If you got a Mac Mini acting as a file server in your private network, could you configure the machine so it automatically accepts and establishes a connection for screen sharing? Or does the person on the other side always have to confirm - even if there isn't one?
 
well you could get them to add you as a registered user for screen sharing then you would just be prompted for a password when you wanted to establish a connection.

Not even that much. I log into my friend's system all the time (under his user account) and it never asks for a password.

So you set up an account on the Mini, log into it once via another mac in the house, save the password, and you will never have to enter it again.
