3D Glasses

I have an LG USB Blu Ray player that I got, and it actually has 3D Blu Ray playback capability. I have a mid 2010 macbook pro, and there's a small possibility I'll be upgrading to the new retina macbook pro 13inch or the new macbook air. Will the regular cheap red & blue 3D glasses work for the 3D to watch my movies? I know that the red & blue 3D glasses are supposed to work for Youtube 3D, but will they work for a blu ray movie on my computer, or do I need to get different 3D glasses? Thanks in advance.
