What are/is the best 3d model format for a game? This game would be running a lot of models at one to so the iphone/ipod touch should be able to display them quickly. Also, I have a copy of Pro Engineer that I got from my enginerring class, and it can create models in the formats: .prt (Part), .igs (IGES), .stp (STEP), .pic (Picture), .iv (Inventor), .wrl (VRML), .x_t (Parasolid), .pdf (PDF), .pdf (PDF U3D), .ed (ProductView), .edz (ProductView), .pvs (ProductView), .tif (TIFF), .jpg (JPEG), .shd (Shaded Image), .eps (EPS), .tif (TIFF [Snapshot]), and .zip (Zip File). I am pretty sure most of these are program specific but if any of them would work as 3D models on the iphone please let me know.
Thanks. :)
