How is this done? The poster's logo and different layers create a 3D effect when circling the touch pad.

Do you think this is a new file format that studios have to upload for every film/tv show?

Or its some sort of effect that can be applied to any existing poster.
 
It is a new layer file format. each layer (they recommend 4-5) moves at a different pace resulting in a D3D like feel.

It is cool but means developers for Apps will need a new format for Icon. as well as posters for Movies, TV or Music, IF they want that appearance rather than simply a highlighted gradient/shimmer
