3D Printing Question

I currently still have the Watch Series 4 in Stainless Steel and would like to upgrade to Series 9. Prior to Wonderlust there was a lot of talk that the Series 9 chassis MIGHT be built with 3D printing (see Aug posting). Does anyone know if that happened? And if so will anyone be doing durability type testing on the new chassis? Thanks

the rumor was that the crown in the new Ultra is 3D printed, and yes, I'm sure that Apple has done their due diligence.
