With the iPhone 6s you're supposed to be able to touch people through the phone.

"When you use 3D Touch, your iPhone responds with subtle taps. So not only will you see what a press can do — you’ll feel it."

You can feel group messages. People were tapping me. When I touched my iPhone I felt something.
