I love the potential of 3D Touch. Given the massive number of apps we all have actually accessing the app icon, except for those on the home page, seems inefficient. I hope Apple will allow the 3D Touch effects when you search for and find an app in the "Top Hits" section (the hits that come from searching through the pull down menu) . Currently this is not available.
