So, I know the Apple Pencil and the iPad Pro doesn't have the ability to use 3D touch.. My question is, is this a possible software update?

For example, when I use my Apple Pencil and I apply pressure on the messages app, could the iPad Pro work with the Apple Pencil to bring up 3D touch menus?

During the beta testing of iOS 10 they enabled one 3d touch-like feature for the Pencil. It was the "Clear all" option for deleting all notifications. To be honest it was kind of scary to use because I had to press really hard with the Pencil on the Clear button so I was concerned about damaging the screen. I just tried it now and it doesn't seem to be working anymore.

Anyway, it is possible and it's up to Apple to make it happen.

Apple will definitely enable more OS Functions for the Apple Pencil it has so much potential.
