I have a 3G running 4.2.1, with the ipad baseband. When I tried to wake my phone up, it kept showing the apple screen, then going to black again. At my computer, iTunes recognizes it, but it won't go out of recovery mode, even to DFU mode (which would be useful to run redsn0w). When the iphone is unplugged, it has a nonstop loop of the apple logo then back to black. I don't know how to fix it.

Did you press the 'erase all content and settings' button?

I am unable to access anything in the iphone.

Edit: I did not erase anything in the first place, by the way. Just chilling in my pocket.
