3G back to OS 3...

is there anyway to go back to OS 3.x from iOS 4?
I have a few friends with 3G phones that are complety useless now from their stupidity. I left my 3G at 3.1.3 due to laziness.
Im glad I didnt upgrade cause all I hear from 3G users are gripes about the new OS.

Download 3.1.3 for a 3G iphone here: http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite...00202.pbnrt/iPhone1,2_3.1.3_7E18_Restore.ipsw
Then open up itunes and hold shift and click restore and point itunes to where you saved the above .ipsw file.
On macs its hold option and click restore.

yes, wait to update until 4.1 comes out.

If the only problem is slowness, I have been told by the Apple Genius Bar to turn off spotlight search and it will act normally, I have also seen this posted on forums, so any 3G user that updated should try this first.

My 3G lost ability to connect to wifi, so be patient and don't update! I ended up getting a new 3G iphone from Apple but lost some data in the process of trying to fix it before I got to the AppleStore. (I had no problems with my iPhone 3G for 1 1/2 yrs--until I updated to iOS 4!)

Hey thanks. One of my friends problem is that she lost the ability to use the phone (reception) from her home town. But when she drives into the city its fine.
I searched for that problem and cant anything on that.

Even with turning off spotlight search the 3G on 4.0 is a turtle.
