3G broadband dongles and existing networks

Hello. I'm currently running a wireless network for my Time Capsule/broadband/AirTunes. I'm thinking of replacing my (flaky at best) bb line with one of those wireless USB mobile broadband dongles. However, I'd still like to keep my computer on my existing network full-time. Is it possible to extend my existing network to include the dongle (or vice-versa) so I can continue to run automatic back-ups AND use the internet without switching?
