3G Charging in car

Just got the son a new 3g. It will not charge in his Scion tc. Has any one found a adaptor for the firewire car interface. Scion uses Pioneer head units and seems nothing works with pioneer.

Do you have a cigarette lighter also - many accessories can use that to charge an iPhone.

I use a griffin cigarette charger works great.
