3g disables itself

In my apartment i get about 3-4 bars with edge. Takes about 10 seconds for the app store to open up. But if i either take out my sim card and put it back in, or i reset 3g on the phone, i get the 3g icon with no bars. It then takes the apps tore 5 seconds to connect. After a couple hours in the same spot, 3g goes away. I dunno whats going on. I am in an area which is completely covered by 3g. I have tested this a couple times and i get the same result. Safari loads faster if i turn 3g off then back on. Anyone experiencing similar problems?

Sounds like you've got poor 3G reception. The phone will switch to GPRS network automatically. Try using it in various locations to test reception.
