ok, as i understand it, if you have an iphone plan already, then you can just buy the 3G and activate at home, right?

if you don't have an iphone plan already and this is your first iphone, then ATT will activate you in-store, right?

what if this is your first iphone and you go to an Apple store to buy the iphone? Does Apple activate it for you or do you go home or to ATT?
