3G/Internet question

Hi,

I just got my iPhone 3G a few days ago and I am in love with it already. I do have one problem with it though, it seems like some of the programs that I downloaded connect to the internet via 3G without my knowledge. Is there a way for me to make my iPhone prompt me first before it uses the internet?
