Like a lot of people here, I am planning on getting a 3G iPhone asap. My sister and I are both planning on getting them, so we figured we would set up a family plan. The problem is that she lives about 500 miles away... do we have to be at the same computer to set up the family plan? Or am I just an idiot? Does anyone see a way around this problem? Thanks!

No, I've got (2) iPhones in San Francisco, California, and (1) iPhone in Seattle, Washington, and (1) Blackberry in Seattle, Washington. Total of (4) lines averaging about $62.25 per month. We are all set-up on our own MacBooks and Mac Pro's! You may have to send her a phone or SIM card or she may have to send you a phone or SIM card. Are you with AT&T already?
Just make sure you can port both numbers from your current carrier(s) and you should be good to go. Just work out the logistics, as to who will need new iPhone(s) and who will get the non-iPhone. You should be OK.
