I have a friend who lives in Brazil and is coming to visit. I sold him my iPhone 1.0 when I was there earlier this year, right before the 3G came out. He now wants a 3G. Can he just go buy one, or will I have to "loose" mine and buy a new one? How does this work?

If he lives in Brazil, it's probably better for him to get the iPhone 3G there once it comes out...

There's no way to unlock it (that I know of...stopped keeping up with the unlocking community so I have no idea). Therefore, he'd only be able to use it in the United States without incurring huge roaming fees.

The iPhone 3G has not come to Brazil yet.
