3G iPhone release date in US?

Hey guys, Im in the market for a new cell phone, as my 2 year old Razr hates me and resets itself in the middle of calls, not to mention ive been through 3 batteries already and the newest one last only a few phone calls before dying.

Anyway, I was wondering when you guys expect apple to release the next iphone, with 3g? Id buy an iphone now but I really want to wait for the 3G version. Do you think its release date will be announced at macworld in January? Do you think it will be coming relatively soon, e.g. by March, or should I just go ahead and by the current gen iphone? or any old phone to hold me over til 3g? Any advice is appreciated.
 
The AT&T leader said it would be coming sometime in 08, but honestly, exactly when, nobody knows...
 
it's going to be a while. I'd get the iPhone now and enjoy it. Or you can always wait for the next best thing and never enjoy anything. the beauty of technology.

I suspect it will be at sfmw this year

The answer would be, absolutely no one has the slightest clue and anyone who tells you different would be lying.

Its my personal feeling, given the history of Apple products, that a 3G iPhone will be out before the end of 2008.

Do not rush out to buy the current generation. For all its greatness, at this point its worth waiting for its predecessor.
