3G iphone Sim in other phones

Does anyone know if I can take the sim out of my 3G iphone and use it on other ATT phones? I'm thinking about getting a el-cheap-o phone as a "go to the beach" or "workout" phone. Can I pop my sim out and use it on another phone? Just wanna be sure before I drop some coins on another phone. I've always been a Sprint customer and this sim thing is really new to me. Thanks!

I tested it with my mom's AT&T cellphone and worked just fine. So you should have no problems with other cheap AT&T cellphones by putting in your 3G sim.

yes, should work as long as its an ATT phone or unlocked. what i usually did was go to Walmart or anywhere that sells the Go phones CHEAP and buy one of those and just slap your own sim card in it.

I might get one cause first off its dirt cheap, second it looks decent, third if i go somewhere where i don't want my iPhone stolen i can use this instead. Should it work? Do all i have to do is plug in my SIM?
