if you take out the sim card of your iphone you will see the chip says at&t 3G.
that means the software on the iphone is not allowing you to have 3g. so hopefully apple will give us the option of using 3g or not.
 
Nope, but hardware in the iPhone also needs to support 3G.

Not sure why Apple used the chips that says 3G on them....most likely that AT&T;s standard SIM card now
 
ya and I also heard Apple is gonna upgrade the space to 32GB using a software update.
 
ALL AT&T sim cards have the 3G logo on them, even my cheap $59 GoPhone has a 3G logo on the sim card. It's an advertisement that 3G is available through AT&T depending on which phone you have.
 
AT&T started replacing all of its sim cards with 3G enabled sim cards awhile back. Now all AT&T sim cards look like that. It basically means you can put it in a 3G device and it'll work.

To the OP:

There is no 3g coming for this generation of Iphone. Do a bit of research, if you post things like this don't be surprised when people start calling you an idiot.
