3G IPHONE speaker died mysteriously , Help please

I am wondering if anyone had this problem as well?

I read an old thread where it happened on the 2G iphone. but i am wondering if anyone has this problem here? sigh.

like others, i was just downloading apps playing around with it. and then it all went dead.

tried soft reboot , switching on and off. with no effect

Have you done a restore in iTunes? That is an integral part of troubleshooting the iPhone.
