Hi,

If/When the 3G iPhone comes out, will it be unlocked do you think? , or still with just o2 in the UK?

If so how long do you think it will be before someone hacks it so it can be used by any network?

Matt

I dont think unlocking Gen 2 will be an easy task since Apple now gears toward some of the enterprise users hence tighter security... just my 2 cents

Another Stokey? SCFC fan? :) Premier league here we come. I digress

In the UK, like the other earlier exclusive contracts - we're waiting to see what happens. The countries that didn't get iPhone last year are , it seems, going to get a better deal - locked or unlocked phones on multiple carriers in several cases (e.g. Italy, Australia).

The UK, U.S. we await more news. O2 and AT&T will still be selling them locked. Whether there are other carriers for iPhone in UK and U.S. come July is another matter. My vote goes with exclusive 3G iPhone for UK & U.S. at least this year.
