I bought one of those 3rd party batteries for my 3G. The construction quality was appauling (obviously done by hand), but it works fine. $20 or so. I get a reasonable play time now. I was lucky to get 2 hours before.

replacement battieries for ipods

I've recently puchased ipod replacement batteries for 1st, 2nd n 3rd gen from Mrbattery, they are awesome! comes with easy to intall instructions n tools too to do it yourself. It was cheap too, around $30 or less? www.mrbattery.ca i had to phone them though to inquire. Check it out! cheers:)

They just drop a refurbished unit into the box and re-engrave the back then send it off to you.

I guess that's a good thing since everything is also newer.

so when you send your ipod off, do they replace the whole thing, or just the battery?
