3G Issues in DC

In Silver Spring.
I have 5 bars with NO icon showing (3G, E, .)
Also unable to check email, surf net, etc.
Turned off and on. Switched airplane on off. Wifi is off.

It sounds like the tower you are connected to is not allowing data. Either it is a malfunction, or it is overloaded. Call 611 and see which.

AT&T just told me they do have an outage in the DC/Maryland area.

I told them 3G works great in this area, when the network is not down!
I love paying $10 more for 3G that works only have the time and not at my house.


She said they have no ETR and could be down for 24 hours, but I am sure that is SOP.

At least you get an answer. I had this problem twice around the beginning of the year, and at&t never acknowledged there was a problem.

My 3G in DC has been spotty last 2 days...hopefuly they get it fixed soon!
