3G + iTunes 10 restore jailbreak issues

i lost my old i phone and got another one

I got a 16GB 3G iPhone (non MC) with 3.1.3 FW 5.12.01 baseband Before i updated my iTunes to iTunes 10 i did a restore on my windows PC and it transferred all my contacts and info from the old phone. Then i upgraded to iTunes 10.

Now on my mac i tried to Jailbreak and Unlock w/ Pwnage 3.1.5 and i got stuck in DFU mode and with a 1604 error.

so i tried to restore back to my old settings again with my windows PC and iTunes 10 is trying to update me automatically to 4.1 FW.

what is the best way to get my iPhone running on T-mobile?
