3g Lag - None of the fix's work

Anyone else with a 3g that has followed the steps in other threads and fully updated to the current iphone firmware and still having major lag problems when opening various stock apps and typing texts etc?

If not, should i take it back and get a new 1?

Which Fixes have you tried?

Restoring, then not using the backup?
Restoring?
Resetting Network settings from the phone?
etc...

yes, i still have the lag, after doing just about all of them.
