Took my lunch at the house today so I could update to 2.1
I figured, since the iPhone is a phone first and foremost I wanted to give my results on the 3G reception issue thats been discussed endlessly. Please copy/paste (or re-type if youre posting from an iPhone sigh) the format below and let everyone else know where you stand.
Dial: *3001#12345#* to view the db in the upper left corner of your phone
Location: Dallas, TX
3G coverage by ATT in Dallas: 100%
Before 2.1 (edge): 4-5 bars visible; db -79 to -83
After 2.1 (edge): 4-5 bars visible; db -79 to -83
Before 2.1 (3g): 0-1 bars; db -97 to -107
After 2.1 (3g): 4-5 bars; db -97 to -107
Conclusion: no difference with edge; only the graphical representation changed with 2.1 for 3g signal strength remains the same.
