How many people keep there 3g turned off on there phone and use edge to save on there battery. If so how bad do you think your battery will be once 4g comes out.

I never turn it off. I find it odd that some do actually.

I check email and websites quite a bit each day via 3G. Never had any issues.

I plug my phone in either after work or sometime for an hour or so before work (after I get up) and it charges it fully.

EDIT: I have an iPhone 3G, if it matters.

I leave 3G on all the time because I've got better coverage with it than EDGE where I live. I'm a fairly heavy RSS, Twitter and facebook reader and mine lasts all day as well. I'm not a heavy gamer though.

3G all the time for me, why would I want to use edge? I am a heavy user as well.

Really? Because I tried it and was surprised at how slow it was.

Yea, I was up in an edge only area a month ago and was surprised how fast pages were loading. I also tried it last night in town and it wasnt bad either.
