I have a brand new 3G iPhone and for the first two weeks i could make calls fine with both 3G and edge. Now when i am in my house, any edge calls i make sound horrible, have hissing and sqealing and popping noises. I don't get whats causing it. If i use 3G I only get 2 bars max in this city. I live in Philadelphia, is anyone else experiencing this?

I have had this problem off and on when I am in Flint, MI. The only solution I could find was to restart the phone. I think it may be due the tower being overtaxed, or the tower being on a lower power to facilitate someone being on the tower performing upgrades. About a month after my problems stopped the last time, Flint appeared on the 3G maps.
